Homeopathic, Naturopathic, Psychopathic

Screen Shot 2013-10-29 at 5.55.42 PMHomeopathic medicine is called homeopathic because well…. it has no evidence.  If it had evidence it would just be called medicine or evidence based medicine.  I have ran into some people who wish to follow natural remedies.  Thats fine with me to be honest, it is your body who am I to tell you whats best.  Oh wait that is what medical professionals do.  In any case you can make whatever decision you want.  But sadly this translates quite often into parents not seeking the proper treatment for sick children, and that I cannot abide.  When your patients bring up these treatments of homeopathic, naturopathic, sometimes chiropractic “doctors” they will either do nothing and your patient will not get better or they can actually have sever negative side effects, they are not benign.  Inform your patients when treatments are quackery.

Also if homeopathy works so well why don’t we use it in major traumas?

  1. MMC, nice post…you think homeopathic (medicine?) is weird? Check out the ‘visible’ surgeries performed by quack faith healer john of god in Brazil. This guy actually( heavy on the act) cuts breasts, scrapes eyeballs and sticks stuff way up the nose, to heal every ailment including cancer. Has to be seen to be believed!! and he does it all without proper sterilization and dirty hands. Ewww!
